EVGo Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 September 2026

EVGo is an EV companion app published by LuxLabs. These terms cover your use of the app and of EVGo Pro. They are written to be read, so they are short.

Accepting these terms

By downloading or using EVGo you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If we change the terms, the updated version is posted on this page with a new date; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the change.

Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use EVGo on devices you own or control, for your own use. The app, its design and its content stay ours (or our licensors'). You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app.

EVGo Pro

EVGo Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription: RM 9.90 a month or RM 89.90 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. It adds the Pro home-screen widgets, the CarPlay and Android Auto car screens, and removes the two ad placements.

If we change the price of a subscription, the change applies only from a future renewal and your store will ask you to confirm it.

Charging data and prices

Charging-station locations, connectors, power, status and prices come from third parties — OpenChargeMap, the charge point operators themselves, and the EVGo Live service that reads operator data. That information can be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong: a charger may be broken, occupied, removed, behind a barrier, or priced differently from what the app shows.

Always confirm the price and availability on the charger itself or in the operator's own app before you charge. EVGo is a guide, not a booking or payment system, and we do not operate any charging equipment.

Trip planning is an estimate

Routes, battery simulation, range figures, charging times and costs are estimates produced from models and third-party data. Real results depend on your car, its battery condition, your driving, the weather, traffic, terrain and the charger you actually find. Treat every number as an estimate, keep a margin, and do not rely on the app as your only source of information.

You remain responsible for driving safely and lawfully. Do not operate the app while driving; use the car screen or a passenger. EVGo is not a substitute for your own judgement.

Acceptable use

Please do not: scrape, bulk-download or resell data from the app or the services it uses; reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law says you may; interfere with the app or the servers it talks to, or try to get around limits, ads or the Pro gate; or use the app for anything unlawful.

No warranty

EVGo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. We do not promise the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular place.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LuxLabs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your reliance on charging data, prices, routes or estimates — for example a wasted journey, a missed appointment, a flat battery or a charging fee you did not expect. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for EVGo Pro in the twelve months before the claim.

Third-party services

The app uses OpenChargeMap (charging data), OpenStreetMap and CARTO (maps and tiles), OSRM (routing), Nominatim (search), Google AdMob (ads in the free version) and the Apple and Google app stores. Their data and services are subject to their own terms and licences, and we are not responsible for them. Attribution for map and charging data is shown in the app and in the footer of this site.

Ads in the free version

The free version of EVGo shows one small banner on the Trip, Garage and Tools screens and one labelled ad card in the Nearby stations list. They are never pop-ups, and EVGo Pro removes both. What the ads SDK collects is set out in the privacy policy.

Ending these terms

You can stop using EVGo at any time by deleting it (cancel any subscription in your store first). We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute — without taking away any consumer rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
