Subscriptions are billed and managed by the store, not by us, so you cancel them there:

• iPhone or iPad — Settings → your name → Subscriptions → EVGo → Cancel Subscription.
• Android — Play Store → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → EVGo → Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or it renews once more. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

EVGo does not own any chargers. Station details come from OpenChargeMap and from the operators themselves, and tariffs change without notice. So a charger can show as available when someone is plugged in, or list a price that has since gone up.

Always check the price and status on the charger or in the operator's own app before you charge. If you spot something consistently wrong, email us the station name and what you saw and we will chase it.

No. There is no account, no sign-in and no analytics of any kind in EVGo's own code. Your location is used for two things only — showing chargers near you and planning trips from where you are — and your coordinates are sent only as part of the query to OpenChargeMap, OSRM and Nominatim. EVGo does not store your location, and there is no EVGo server holding your data.

Your car, battery level, favourites, tariffs and preferences live on your phone and go away when you uninstall. The one exception to "no data collected" is the ads SDK in the free version, which is described in full in the privacy policy.

The free version carries two ad placements and no more: one small banner at the bottom of the Trip, Garage and Tools screens, and one labelled ad card in the Nearby stations list under the map, after the third station. Neither is ever a pop-up or a full-screen interstitial, and neither interrupts navigation or a trip.

EVGo Pro removes both. Once Pro is active the app never asks for an ad again.

The car screens are an EVGo Pro feature. On iOS, CarPlay shows your chargers and next stop on the car's display, and on iOS 26 the Next stop and Nearest fast chargers widgets also appear on the CarPlay Dashboard. Android Auto support is built in and switches on once Google completes its car-app review.

Ranges are derated to realistic Malaysian figures — highway speeds, aircon, heat — rather than brochure numbers, and you can override the range with your own measured figure, which EVGo keeps per car.

EVGo's station data comes from OpenChargeMap, a community database, so the fastest fix is to add or correct the station there — it then appears in EVGo (and in every other app using that data) on the next refresh: openchargemap.org.

Yes. The map and trip planner work anywhere OpenChargeMap has data, which is most of the world. But the app is tuned for Malaysia: the car catalogue is the one sold here, the derated ranges assume Malaysian heat and highway speeds, and costs are in ringgit. Abroad, treat the cost figures as rough until you set your own tariff.
