EVGo Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

EVGo ("the app") is published by LuxLabs. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: EVGo has no accounts and no analytics, and does not store your personal data on any server. The free version shows one Google AdMob banner and one labelled ad card in the list of nearby chargers (see Advertising below); EVGo Pro removes both.

Location

With your permission, EVGo uses your device's location for two purposes only: to show charging stations near you, and to plan trips from your current position. To do this, your coordinates are sent over HTTPS as part of a query to the third-party services below. EVGo does not record, store or transmit your location for any other purpose, and location is never collected in the background.

Third-party services

These services receive your IP address as part of any internet request, as with any app that uses the internet.

Data stored on your device

Your chosen vehicle, battery level, favourite stations, tariffs and planning preferences are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

Advertising

EVGo shows ads from Google AdMob in two places and nowhere else: one small banner on the Trip, Garage and Tools screens, and one labelled ad card in the Nearby stations list beneath the map. Neither is ever a pop-up, and neither appears for EVGo Pro owners. To show and measure ads, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google your device's advertising identifier (and, on Android, the app set ID); your IP address, from which Google estimates your approximate location; how you interact with the app and its ads (such as app launches, taps and video views) and which ads you have seen; and diagnostic information such as crash logs and performance data (app launch time, hang rate, energy use). Google uses this for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, and it is encrypted in transit. Once you own EVGo Pro, EVGo requests no more ads. On iPhone you are asked first whether ads may track you; if you decline, ads are not personalised. In the EU and UK you are asked for consent, and you can change it any time under Settings → Ad privacy choices. Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Purchases

EVGo Pro is an auto-renewing subscription processed by Apple or Google. EVGo keeps only whether your subscription is active and when it renews, on your phone.

Children

EVGo is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
